In this session we will explore the stories that science teachers tell as in integral part of effective explanations in science. We will consider why narratives are helpful in terms of helping pupils know and understand scientific concepts. Whilst also considering the drawbacks of using narrative. We will also introduce a number of resources that can be used to support this pedagogy.
